Operating profit over six months amounted to $95.9 million (+34.7% as compared with the first half of 2005), revenue - $246.3 million (+24.6%). The deadweight of the company’s fleet increased over the reported period by 210 thou tons.
Sovkomflot OJSC is the nation’s largest sea carrier experienced in operating vessels under ice conditions, including Baltic and White Seas. In May 2006 international rating agency Moodys raised Sovkomflot’s rating as regards liabilities in foreign currency to Ваа1 level with a «stable» forecast.
