Mikhail Aivazov to head RMRS
The Russian Transport Minister Igor Levitin appointed Mikhail Aivazov General Director of Federal Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, effective September 15th.
Aivazov Michael was born on May 21, 1967. He graduated from the Naval College of Frunze in St. Petersburg as an engineer-hydrograph. Later he graduated from the Russian Academy of Economics in Moscow, majoring in finances and credit.
From March 2008 to date Mr. Aivazov was the deputy director of the Department of Infrastructure and of the Bank of development and foreign trade (Vnesheconombank). He was engaged in the implementation of investment projects in the shipbuilding and shipping industries.
