Nobel Bros Shipyard builds second tanker hull of project RST-25
Nobel Brothers Shipyards on Friday, Nov. 25 moved out of covered shipbuilding berth to outfitting berth the hull of the second tanker of project RST-25. being constructed for Moscow River Shipping Company (MSCO), the shipbuilder said.
Keel-laying of the vessel was held on May 17, 2011. The construction of the tanker is on schedule.
Tankers of project RST-25 designed by Marine Engineering Bureau are a new class of ‘river-sea’ tankers equipped with six cargo tanks to carry crude oil and petroleum products, including gasoline, which feature no flash point limits and enhanced environmental safety and automation.
Ship’s main characteristics: LOA – 139,99 m, beam molded - 16,6 m, salt / fresh water draft - 4.175 m / 3.60 m, max draft DWT in salt / fresh water- 6,613 / 5,132 tons; six cargo tanks and 2 slop tanks - 6990 cbm; the vessel is powered by twin 1200kW 6L20 Wartsila engines. Russian River Register class - M-CP4, 5 (led40) A ECO3. The tankers satisfy the Volga-Don Canal and Volga-Baltic Canal dimensions.
