Vyborgskyi shipyard OJSC launched the hull of the drilling platform support vessel «SBS Typhoon»
Vyborgskyi shipyard OJSC launched the hull of the drilling platform supply vessel «SBS Typhoon» under project VS 470 PSV Mk II. This information has been provided to PortNews IAA by Andrei Tunimanov, deputy General Director of Vyborgskyi shipyard OJSC. The order was placed by one of subsidiaries of Norvegian shipyard - AKER AUKRA AS. Basic characteristics of the vessel: length – 73.4 m, width – 16.6 m, maximal draught – 6.5 m, deadweight - 3550 tons. The vessel is designed for operation under severe climatic conditions. Over last five years Vyborgskyi shipyard built 18 hulls of different purposes. Today the yard is engaged in construction of two more hulls for the vessels supporting drilling platforms. Besides, there is a number of proposals for construction of similar vessels under turn-key principle.
Vyborgskyi shipyard is specialises in construction of sea platforms for shelf exploration, of medium and large-tonnage vessels. Authorized capital of Vyborgskyi shipyard is 213.684 thou rubles divided into certain number of shares with equal nominal value of 50 kopecks each. All the shares of the Company are registered ones. AKO BARSS CJSC owns 75.6% of the company shares.
