  Основание нефтяной платформы «Беркут», успешно преодолев переход Восточный – Сахалин, утром 25 июня 2012 года встала на грунт на месторождении Аркутун-Даги в координатах 52-28 северной широты и 143-39 восточной долготы. Об этом ИАА «ПортНьюс» сообщил капитан порта Восточный Андрей Городиштьян.
  
  Неделю назад буксирный караван завершил проводку основания нефтяной платформы «Беркут» из порта Находка на шельф Сахалина. За 2 недели 5 буксиров провели «Беркут» по Японскому и Охотскому морям и поставили в точку, где его посадили на дно. Проводка основания весом 160 тыс. тонн от Находки до нефтяного месторождения Аркутун-Даги на сахалинском шельфе Охотского моря прошла без осложнений. Буксировка и установка платформы на месторождении осуществлялась ОАО «Совкомфлот» совместно с партнером – голландской компанией Van Ord.
  
  В 2013 году на основание установят верхнюю технологическую половину нефтедобывающей платформы, строящуюся в Корее. С 2014 года «Беркут» начнет работу по проекту «Сахалин-1», платформа рассчитана на добычу до 4,5 млн тонн углеводородов в год.
  
  Основание для морской ледостойкой добывающей платформы «Беркут» построено в доке порта Восточный. Ширина платформы - 100 м, длина - 133 м, высота - 55 м, вес - 150 тыс. тонн, количество арматуры - 27 тыс. тонн, общий объем бетона 52 тыс. тонн.
