Hutchison to invest in new Shenzhen container berths
Shenzhen Yantian Port Group said on Thursday Hutchison Whampoa Ltd (, the world's biggest container terminal operator, had agreed to invest in a container terminal in the city's Yantian East area.
The Yantian East phase I will have an area of 1.38 million square metres and can develop four container berths to handle ships of up to 100,000 tonnes, it said in a statement.
Hutchison will have 53 percent of the project and Yantian Port will own the remaining 47 percent.
