Gazprom to spend 80 bln rubles on Nord Steam overland section in 2009
Gazprom (RTS: GAZP) plans to spend approximately 80 billion rubles building the overland section of the Nord Stream gas pipeline in 2009, Valery Golubev, the Russian gas giant's deputy CEO, told reporters according to Interfax.
"We're probably looking at 80 billion rubles," Golubev said.
Next year's costs could be adjusted because Gazprom is also designing and placing orders for compressor station equipment besides building the pipeline itself, he said.
