    BP продает Plains Exploration & Production ряд месторождений в Мексиканском заливе за $5,5 млрд

    Британская компания BP согласовала сделку, предусматривающую продажу за $5,5 млрд части своих нефтяных и газовых месторождений в Мексиканском заливе. Как передает Итар-ТАСС, их покупает американская компания Plains Exploration & Production.

    ВР распродает свои активы на общую сумму $38 млрд с целью собрать достаточно средств, чтобы покрыть убытки от аварии на глубоководном нефтяном месторождении «Макондо» в Мексиканском заливе весной 2010 года. В августе министерство юстиции США обвинило британскую компанию в крупной халатности, чреватой штрафом в размере $21 млрд.

    По оценке экспертов, продажа месторождений «Марлин», «Дорадо», «Кинг», «Хорн-маунтин», «Холстейн», «Рэм Пауэлл» и «Дайана Гувер» сократит примерно на 2,5% объем ежедневной нефтедобычи BP, достигающей 2,3 млн баррелей, не включая ТНК-BP.

    Британцы представляют будущую сделку в русле попыток сосредоточиться на освоении более крупных залежей и глубоководной добыче. Когда продажа будет завершена, у компании останется 4 платформы на шельфе Мексиканского залива - «Сандер хорс», «Мэд дог», «Атлантис» и «На Кика». Залив остается «ключевой частью портфеля BP по поиску месторождений и добыче нефти, и мы намерены продолжать инвестировать туда по меньшей мере 2,5 млрд фунтов ($4 млрд) ежегодно на протяжении ближайших 10 лет», уточнил глава корпорации Роберт Дадли.

    Как напомнили эксперты в Лондоне, с начала 2010 года BP продала активы на сумму около 20 млрд фунтов ($32 млрд).
