  BP Singapore retains top spot on MPA's 2012 list of top bunker suppliers

  

  BP Singapore Pte Ltd has retained its number one ranking for the 10th year in a row on the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore's list of top bunker fuel suppliers by volume, according to data posted on MPA's website.
  MPA does not supply actual volumes sold by each company. Singapore Minister for Transport Lui Tuck Yew said late Thursday that bunker fuel sales volumes in Singapore for 2012 had fallen 1.2% to 42.7 million mt.
  The 2012 volume is the first time in 10 years that Singapore, the world's top bunkering port by volume, has not seen year-on-year growth, market sources said Friday.
  Official data available on MPA's website, which shows data only as far back as 2004, show that this is the first time Singapore has not registered year-on-year growth for volume in eight years.
  Brightoil Petroleum Singapore Pte Ltd. came in third place, after jumping from 34th position in 2010 to second place in 2011.
  Local company Sentek Marine & Trading Pte Ltd. came in second place. In 2011, Sentek was in fifth place, having risen from seventh place in 2010.
  Singapore-listed Chemoil International Pte Ltd. rose to fifth place, from sixth place in 2011. Transocean Oil Pte Ltd. rose from 18th place in 2011 to eighth place in 2012, while Hong Fatt Oil Trading Pte Ltd. rose from 19th place in 2011 to 10th place in 2012.
  New entrants to the top 20 supplier list for 2012 include Costank (S) Pte Ltd., Consort Bunkers Pte Ltd., Total Oil Asia-Pacific Pte Ltd., and Sirius Marine Pte Ltd.
  Suppliers that dropped out of the top 20 supplier list include O.W. Bunker Far East (S) Pte Ltd., Singapore Petroleum Company Ltd., Seven Seas Oil Trading Pte Ltd., and Alliance Oil Trading Pte Ltd.
