  Подготовлен законопроект, поддерживающий создание глубоководных портов на Аляске

  Американский сенатор Марк Бегич представил законопроект, поддерживающий строительство арктических глубоководных портов на Аляске, пишет «Арктика-Инфо».
  
  Законопроект предусматривает упрощение экологической экспертизы при строительстве портов путем назначения единой структуры, координирующей все федеральные исследования и устанавливающей крайние сроки для принятия решений. Предположительно этим займется Армейский корпус инженеров США. Акт также позволит армейским структурам вступать в экономические отношения с частными компаниями.
  
  Сенатор подчеркивает, что строительство порта окажет положительное влияние на местное судоходство, добычу нефтегазовых ресурсов и туризм. «Арктический порт окажет сильное влияние на то, каким образом мы будем производить и экспортировать природные ресурсы, и на нашу способность сокращать высокие расходы на топливо в регионе. Порты укрепят экономику Аляски, предоставив рабочие места и новые возможности для малого бизнеса», - сказал Марк Бегич.
  
  Ранее сенатор уже вносил законопроекты, направленные на поддержание освоения Арктики.
