    Moscow shipyard launches transatlantic mega-yacht of Project ТМ 47-2 (photo)

    On April 23, Moscow Shipbuilding & Repair Yard launched the transatlantic mega-yacht of Project ТМ 47. According to the shipyard’s press center, it is the second yacht of the project built by Moscow Shipyard to the design of the largest Dutch bureau Vripack Yachting International.

    It is noted that it is the largest private yacht built in Russia. 
                  
    Moscow Shipyard is the only company in Russia presenting its yachts at the largest international exhibitions and acknowledged in yacht-building industry.
                                 
    The yacht’s navigation area is not limited, her specially reinforced hull allows sailing in brash ice, while guests can feel comfortable with outside temperature ranging between –20 and +45°С owing to climate control system Heinen&Hopman. 

    This four-deck steel-hull vessel with aluminum superstructures is being built under the supervision of Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and meets the requirements of МСА LY2 Code.

    The yacht is equipped with two diesel engines Caterpillar 3412E, 537 kW each. The yachts maximum speed is 13 knots – 25 km/h. The cruising range is 4,000 nautical miles. 
                     
    The interior is designed by Vripack Yachting International with the work being implemented by Five Star studio. There are five guest cabins and five crew cabins on board the vessel. 
                    
    The yacht will be delivered to the customer in autumn 2013 after sea trial.
     
    Major characteristics: length overall – 44.7m, gross tonnage - 492 tonnes, breadth – 9.2 m, draught – 2.76 m, cruising speed – 12.5 knots, maximum speed - 13 knots, classification of Det Norske Veritas (DNV), +1A1 LC Yacht R0 E0, meets МСА requirements, engines - 2 Caterpillar 3412Е( 2х720 h.p).

    OJSC Moscow Shipbuilding & Repair Yard (Moscow Shipyard) is one of the oldest Russian shipyards. Since it was set up in 1936, over 1,800 vessels were built here. Moscow Shipyard is the major manufacturer of river passenger vessels in Russia. In particular, it builds motor yacht of luxury class with length from 25 to 50 meters. This full cycle company has its own design bureau, hull production, painting, electric-installation, machine-assembly and interior facilities. 

    From 2010, the company has been building new-generation passenger motor vessels for tourism and sightseeing. The shipyard is a branch of United Shipbuilding Corporation. In September 2011, the shipyard commenced the construction of high-speed multi-purpose boats of project МРВ14 for Russian seaports. Parallel to this production, from 2011 Moscow Shipyard has been building a series of 27 buoy-laying boats project 3050 and 12 buoy-laying boats project 3050.1 for servicing inland water ways. From autumn 2012, the shipyard has been building shipboard boats for Navy.
