After May Day holidays kept many markets quiet yesterday, bunker prices were mostly heading down today.
Benchmark grade IFO380 in Singapore was down $9.00 to $606.00 per metric tonne (pmt) making it only $1.50 higher than at this point last week, while in Rotterdam it fell for a forth consecutive market day, down $4.00 to $579.50 pmt and $2.00 higher than a week ago.
Fujairah IFO380 was down $5.50 to $616.50 pmt for a week-on-week change of $+8.00, while the grade in Houston slipped $1.00 to $587.00 pmt, $8.00 higher than a week ago.
One port that made gain today was Los Angeles and Long Beach, where IFO380 was up $3.50 to $621.50 negating some of yesterday's big drop of $30.50.
A $3.00 gain for IFO380 in Buenos Aires was the exception to falling prices across South America's Atlantic cost, which saw the product fall as much as $11.00 pmt on Thursday.
