Specialized sea oil-loading terminal in Kozmino Bay to handle first tanker in Dec 09
The first tanker will be accepted by the specialized sea oil-loading terminal in Kozmino Bay (PrimorskiTerritory) in December 2009, VGTRK Vladivostok cites Vladimir Petrovski, representative of the contractor participating in construction works.
“We expect the first tanker by December. We manage to follow the schedule,” he said.
According to the source, the terminal will start operation in December though construction of ESPO to Primorje will take several more years. Before that oil products to Kozmino Bay will be delivered by railway. For that purpose, a separate spur to the new tank farm is nearing completion. 7 steel tanks with the capacity of 50,000 m3 each are being installed at the tank farm.
Construction of the specialized sea oil-loading terminal in Kozmino Bay of Primorski Territory (the end point of an oil pipeline "Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean") has entered the final phase. According to the plan the construction is to be completed in December. The construction is being carried out by three companies including Koksokhimmontazh CJSC and Inzhtransstroi CJSC.
