Throughput of port Vanino up 18.9% to 14 mln t in Jan-July’13
In January-July 2013, port Vanino handled 14 mln t of cargo (+18.9%, year-on-year), says Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Port Vanino is Russia’s seaport of federal importance located in the deepwater Vanino Bay (Khabarovsk region). The port’s major stevedoring company – Vanino Commercial Seaport OJSC is the largest stevedoring company of Khabarovsk region. It provides handling and forwarding services. Cargo is delivered via Vanino to the north-eastern regions of Russia, Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, USA and other countries of APR. In 2012, the port’s throughput increased by 6.5% to 20.3 mln t, ACSP says.
