RS and Tranzas Group sign cooperation agreement (photo)
Within the framework of the International Exhibition NEVA-2013 opened in Saint-Petersburg on September 24, 2013, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) and Transas Group signed an agreement on cooperation, IAA PortNews reporter says. The agreement covers cooperation in the development of safe shipping standards, prevention of environmental pollution and professional education of RS specialists.
The document was signed by Pavel Shikhov, Deputy Director General of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, and Andrey Belentyev, Director General of Transas CJSC.
Under the agreement, RS and Transas will arrange joint research and introduce innovations and advanced information technologies within RS field of activities. Besides, RS and Transas are to cooperate in development and introduction of advanced simulator technologies for professional training, retraining and upgrading of RS personnel.
Transas simulators enable RS to practice certification of different vessels and improve their skills in presentation of certification results.
