Rating of major container lines’ market share in Black Sea ports, 9M, 2013
The leading carriers in the nine-month period 2013, according to their container lines’ market share in the Black Sea-based ports of Romania, Russia and Georgia were HLCL, ARKAS, EMC, COSCO, MSC, CSAV and CMA CGM, the Informall B.G.’s rating showed.
The rating is based on the data for overall container turnover, without transshipment.
In Romania, a record growth in market share (% of market share) was demonstrated by HLCL with 5.13% and ARKAS with 1.52%. Record drop of its share was shown by CMA CGM and “K” Line, -2.5% and -2.01%, respectively.
In Russian ports the leaders were EMC with 6.77% and COSCO – 3.23%. In the reporting period ZIM demonstrated a 6.55-percent drop, as well as MSC (-5.74%).
In the Republic of Georgia, the undisputed market leader was MSC with over 50% of share. The best results were demonstrated by CSAV (2.29%) and CMA CGM (1.80%). At the same time most essential market share drop was shown by ZIM and HLCL, -2.36% and -2.12%, accordingly.
