RS signed Agreement with the Maritime Administration of Greece
An Agreement governing the delegation of statutory surveys and certification services for vessels flying the Greek flag has been signed between the Government of the Hellenic Republic and Russian Maritime Register of Shipping in Piraeus (Greece) on 27 July 2009.
On the part of the Maritime Administration of Greece the Agreement was signed by Hellenic Coast Guard Commandant, Vice Admiral Theodoros P. Rentzeperis, on the part of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) – by Director-General Nikolay Reshetov.The Head of the Greek delegation Minister of Mercantile Marine of Greece Anastasis Papaligouras highlighted that through the Agreement the Greek maritime community takes an advantage of the precious experience and high level of services rendered by Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
“We are proud of the appreciation and confidence of the Maritime Administration of the Hellenic Republic having authorized Russian Maritime Register of Shipping to perform survey and issue documents on behalf of the Hellenic Maritime Administration. Enhancing standards of the safety of navigation and protection of environment is the main goal of our cooperation,” said Nikolay Reshetov.At present Russian Maritime Register of Shipping has been authorized by 62 maritime administrations.
