Conrad Industries reports first quarter net income of $6.4m, with backlog of $155.8m
Net income for the first quarter ended March 31, 2014 of Conrad Industries, Inc. headquartered in Morgan City, Louisiana reached $6.4 million and earnings per diluted share were at $1.08 compared to net income of $5.9 million and earnings per diluted share of $0.99 during Q1 2013, the Company said Thursday in a press release.
Conrad’s backlog was $155.8 million at March 31, 2014 compared to $152.9 million at December 31, 2013 and $125.5 million at March 31, 2013.
Morgan City, LA, based Conrad Industries, Inc. was established in 1948. The company specializes in design, building and overhaul of tugboats, ferries, liftboats, barges, offshore supply vessels and other steel and aluminum products for both the commercial and government markets. The company provides both repair and new construction services at its five shipyards located in southern Louisiana and Texas.
