India Petronet to expand Dahej terminal capacity
India's Petronet LNG plans to expand the capacity of its Dahej LNG terminal in western India to 15 million tonnes by 2012, its head, P. Dasgupta, said on Monday. The expansion would cost around $200 million, he said.
"We are setting up a second jetty. This will raise my capacity to 15 million tonnes," Dasgupta told reporters.
"It takes two to two-and-half years from the contract award date. It should be done by September 2011 but stabilisation will take some time".
Dahej has an annual capacity of 10 million tonnes, but is operating at 11 million tonnes, Dasgupta said.
