Shipbuilders of Kerch and Vyborg agreed on cooperation
JSC Shipyard Zaliv (Crimea) and JSC Vyborg Shipyard have signed an agreement on cooperation, Zaliv press center says.
By the invitation of management of JSC Shipyard Zaliv the expanded delegation from JSC Vyborg Shipyard visited the Crimean enterprise in the end of May 2014. Representatives of the Vyborg yard has become privy to the production facilities of Zaliv shipyard and also the parties conducted the meeting, dedicated to the perspective projects and possibilities for common cooperation. These negotiations re-sulted in signing of cooperation agreement between two yards.
According to the reached agreements, the parties plan to develop cooperation in various shipbuilding and offshore projects that will give the possibility to distribute the workload of production facilities of both enterprises in the most effective way as well as to involve the wide spectre of type-dimensions of the vessels, to offer to the Customers the most competitive and flexible schemes of vessels construction on local yards.
Moreover, both companies possess gross experience of successful cooperation with foreign Customers, primarily from the Scandinavian countries and this proves the high quality of delivered products and compliance to the highest international shipbuilding standards.
Acting General Director of JSC Shipyard Zaliv, Mr. Andrey Zakharchuk noted that work in the frames of this agreement will become for the Zaliv the first step on the way of integration to the system of Rus-sian shipbuilding.
He also underlined that Zaliv foresees this cooperation with this very yard as perspective one. For pre-sent days, Vyborg Shipyard is one of the largest and most experienced yards in the sphere of civil ship-building in Russia. Moreover, we have the common direction in commercial shipbuilding, namely off-shore vessels and floating means, special purpose vessels, vessels with reinforced ice class, and because of this our partnership promises to be fruitful.
By the words of General Director of Vyborg shipyard, Mr. Alexander Solovyev, development of native shipbuilding in general and particularly loading of facilities of shipyards in Crimea is the foremost im-portant aim for the present day that has been put by the government of the state.
Solovyev also noted that Zaliv shipyard possesses remarkable technological possibilities and compe-tence in the branch of civil shipbuilding. Vyborg yard in its turn has the considerable experience in con-struction of technically sophisticated vessels and means for shelf exploration. Cooperation of our enter-prises will allow to expand the possibilities of the yards considerably on products construction and to offer to the largest native and foreign customers ways of building of various products, including the ones earlier not available on the territory of the Russian Federation.
