  Докеры портов западного побережья США урегулировали один из ключевых вопросов трудового соглашения

  Предварительное соглашение по вопросу страхования здоровья работников было достигнуто в процессе переговоров по условиям нового трудового договора докеров портов западного побережья США, передает ИТАР-ТАСС. 
  
  Вопрос о компенсациях расходов на здравоохранение является одним из важнейших в повестке переговоров между портами-работодателями, интересы которых представляет Тихоокеанская морская ассоциация (Pacific Maritime Association, PMA) и работниками в лице профсоюзного объединения докеров (Международный береговой складской союз, International Longshore andWarehouse Union, ILWU). Контракт охватывает почти 20 тыс. докеров 29 портов западного побережья США. Срок действия предыдущего договора истек 1 июля 2014 года. Переговоры по условиям нового договора начались 12 мая и продолжаются до сих пор. 
  
  Предполагалось, что вопрос о компенсациях расходов на здравоохранение будет одним из самых сложных в нынешних переговорах. Выступая на конференции JOC в марте, президент PMA Джеймс МакКенна предположил, что участники переговоров могут отложить принятие решения по вопросу о том, кто - работники или работодатели - должны платить налог в рамках, так называемой, системы Obamacare, который вступит в силу с 2018 года. Сумма налога оценивается в $150 млн в год. Отмечается, что подобное отложенное решение привело бы к новой волне неопределенности почти сразу после завершения текущих переговоров.
