The ports of Odessa region (Ukraine) handled in the first half of the current year 47.9 million tons of cargo

Odessa region’s see trade ports, fishing ports and commercial berths handled in the first half of the current year 47.9 million tons of cargo (-3.7% as compared with year-on-year result), region administration reports. Transshipment of export cargo decreased by 9.4% to 22.3 million tons, import increased by 14% to 4.1 million tons, while transit volume stays at the same level – 21.2 million tons. This information has been provided RBC-Ukraine. Cargo turnover of Odessa port decreased by 5.6% to 14.1 million tons, Ilyichevsk – by 2.7% to 7.1 million tons, Renijsk – by 26% to 1.1 million tons, and Yuzhnyj - 10% growth to 10.1 million tons, Belgorod-Dnestrovskij – by 2.1% to 552.6 thou tons. In 2005 sea trade ports of Odessa region increased cargo transshipment by 4.8% to 84.8 million tons that is 77.7% of total cargo turnover of all commercial harbors of Ukraine.
