  Самый большой в мире полностью электрический паром завершил свой первый рейс

  Пассажирский паром Ellen с полностью электрической пропульсивной установкой 15 августа 2019 года выполнил свой первый пробный коммерческий рейс между портами Сёби и Финсхав на юге Дании. Как сообщила швейцарская компания Leclanché SA, специализирующаяся на аккумуляторных системах,  поставившая аккумуляторную систему для судна, Ellen на сегодняшний день является самым большим в мире полностью электрическим паромом.
  
  Паром длиной 60 м и шириной 13 м с двумя электродвигателями и аккумуляторными батареями мощностью 4,3 МВт/ч, предназначен для перевозки около 30 транспортных средств и 200 пассажиров.
  
  По планам, электрический паром Ellen будет полностью готов к работе через несколько недель. Создание экологичного парома и паромной линии стало частью проекта Danish Natura, целью которого является обеспечение экологически чистого транспорта для жителей в Дании. Проект строительства электрического парома был запущен в 2015 году и финансировался из бюджета инновационной программы Еверосоюза.
  
  По утверждению оператора первого полностью электрического парома Ampere в Норвегии, эксплуатация такого судна в течении двух лет показала сокращение на маршруте вредных выбросов на 95% и затрат – на 80%.
  
  Крупная норвежская транспортная группа Fjord1, в составе флота которой 75 судов, также заказала у Havyard Group строительство нескольких паромов работающих на аккумуляторных батареях.
  
  Такие же действия предприняты в Нью-Йорке, где в следующем году на маршрут выйдет первый электрический паром.
  
  В 2020 году ожидается передача полностью электрического парома Amherst Island. Его длина – 68 м, ширина – 25 м и вместимость до 300 человек и 42 автомобилей. Через год в эксплуатацию будет принят еще больший паром Wolfe Island – его длина будет 98 м, ширина 25 м, вместимость до 399 пассажиров и 75 автомобилей.
  
  По подсчетам компании Leclanché SA, один электрический паром «предотвратит выброс в атмосферу 2 тыс. тонн CO2, 42 тонн NOx, 2,5 тонн твердых частиц и 1,4 тонн SO2» в год.
