Intermodal Europe and Asia appoint Rob Fisher as Event Director
Intermodal Europe and Asia, the global events for container shipping and intermodal professionals, announce the appointment of Rob Fisher as the new Event Director.
Rob will seamlessly take over the reins to run Intermodal Europe, taking place on 5-7 November 2019 at Hamburg Messe, and Intermodal Asia, based in Shanghai on 17-19 March 2020. The exhibitions are organised by Informa Markets, the world’s leading events organiser.
With the intralogistics event IMHX (International Materials Handling Exhibition) and the UK’s leading logistics publication, SHD Logistics, already within his portfolio, Rob brings over 14 years of industry expertise, authority, and a holistic view of the entire supply chain to Intermodal.
Rob Fisher said: “Container logistics is a massively strategic and important sector. It is at the heart of the global economy. Without it there would be no food on our supermarket shelves or electronics for the Black Friday/Singles’ Day sales. Intermodal Europe and Intermodal Asia are highly successful and recognisable brands. Intermodal Europe and Intermodal Asia are the global hub for container shipping and intermodal professionals. They have cemented a reputation as the must-attend events bringing the industries together, attracting buyers and decision-makers from across the world. Intermodal Europe attracts more than 7,000 attendees and 140 exhibitors from 91 countries, while the Asia event welcomes over 9,500 attendees and 180 exhibitors from 80 countries.
Both events have taken on a fresh importance as transport and container shipping adapt to smart new technologies, infrastructure challenges, geopolitical upheaval and the emergence of huge projects such as China’s transformative Belt and Road Initiative.
