    Высокоширотная экспедиция «Северный полюс – 2020» вышла на финальную стадию согласования бюджета

    Высокоширотная научная дрейфующая экспедиция «Северный полюс – 2020» (СП-2020) вышла на финальную стадию согласования бюджета, сметы и источников финансирования экспедиции. Об этом, как передал корреспондент ИАА «ПортНьюс», рассказал замдиректора Департамента государственной политики и регулирования в области гидрометеорологии, изучения Арктики, Антарктики и Мирового океана Минприроды РФ Станислав Уржумцев в ходе Мультимедийной пресс-конференции, приуроченной к IX Международному форуму «Арктика: настоящее и будущее».

    Сумму финансирования Уржумцев не раскрыл, однако отметил, что ее достаточно для полного финансирования более 40 научных проектов.

    Советник специального представителя президента РФ по международному сотрудничеству в Арктике и Антарктике, директор Центра морских полярных исследования РГГМУ Юрий Сычев, что из-за ухудшения льда экспедиции на дрейфующих льдинах небезопасны, поэтому «Северный полюс» будет проводиться по технологии вмораживания судна в льдину и совместный дрейф.

    Экспедиция будет использовать ледокол «Капитан Драницын» водоизмещением 26 тыс. тонн, пассажировместимостью 128 человек, что гарантирует безопасность всех присутствующих и дает возможность проведения энергоемких исследований, невозможных на дрейфующей льдине.

    В проекте предполагается участие более 250 российских ученых из 28 институтов РАН, восьми университетов, двух институтов Росатома, трех институтов Росгидромета, трех институтов Минздрава и пяти производителей научного оборудования.
