Rodriguez, Italian shipbuilding group, and RINA classification society have developed a project of environmentally friendly high-speed ferry Aliswath. This information has been provided by shipbuilding.ru. The vessel’s speed is up to 28 knots. It may take 450 passengers and 60 cars. Fuel consumption has been decreased by 40% as compared with other high-speed ferries. The vessel’s design and appearance are considered to be new for ferries. Now Italian shipbuilders are engaged in construction of trial model of the vessel. Performance trial will be carried out in 2007 and if success, Aliswath will be used at European passenger lines.
