    НЭС «Михаил Сомов» отправилось в третий рейс по обеспечению полярных станций

    Судно доставит на труднодоступные гидрометеорологические станции Северного, Якутского и Чукотского УГМС 600 тонн топлива и 1200 тонн различных грузов

    Научно-экспедиционное судно (НЭС) Северного УГМС «Михаил Сомов» отправилось в третий рейс по обеспечению полярных станций Росгидромета до Чукотки, сообщила пресс-служба управления.

    Арктическая экспедиция продлится около двух месяцев. НЭС «Михаил Сомов» доставит на труднодоступные гидрометеорологические станции продовольствие, расходные аэрологические материалы, строительные материалы и другой груз, а также смену полярников. Судно с экспедицией пройдёт по Северному морскому пути до острова Врангеля через шесть арктических морей: Белое, Баренцево, Карское, Восточно-Сибирское, Чукотское море и море Лаптевых.

    На станциях по маршруту следования судна специалистами Северного УГМС будет выполнено техническое обслуживание вычислительной техники, метеорологического оборудования, энергетики и связи.

    НЭС «Михаил Сомов» доставит снабжение и сменный состав на полярную станцию ААНИИ Росгидромета «Ледовая база «Мыс Баранова», на объекты гидрографической службы, заповедник о. Врангеля и др. организаций, осуществляющих свою деятельность в Арктике.

    В ходе рейса будет снята геологическая партия Всероссийского научно-исследовательского геологического института им. А.П. Карпинского и Геологического института РАН. Совместно с ААНИИ («Арктический и антарктический научно-исследовательский институт») планируется провести работы по обслуживанию автоматического берегового оборудования по маршруту движения судна.

    Обратно в Архангельск НЭС «Михаил Сомов» вернется в середине октября.
