  Damen поставила рули для 10 судов ирландской компании Arklow Shipping

  В дополнение суда Arklow будут оснащены системой поворотно-лопастного рулевого управления Van der Velden® COMMANDER™

  Damen Marine Components (DMC, входит в Damen Shipyards Group) поставила для десяти судов, заказанных ирландской судоходной компанией Arklow Shipping, комплекты рулей с большой подъемной силой. Последнее судно Arklow Artist будет введено в эксплуатацию в скором времени, говорится в пресс-релизе группы.

  Для увеличения подъемной силы суда оснащены рулями Van der Velden® MASTER и рулями с закрылками BARKE®. Сейчас судно Arklow Artist в серии из судов дедвейтом по 8,5 тыс. тонн, оснащается на голландском судостроительном заводе Ferus Smit в Вестерброке.

  Первые пять судов этой серии Arklow Abbey, Accord, Ace, Archer и Arrow, как и серия из четырех судов дедвейтом 16,5 тыс. тонн (Arklow Wave, Wind, Willow и Wood), уже находятся в эксплуатации.

  Первоначально обе серии планировать оснастить рулями NXA Fishtail. Компания Arklow Shipping имеющая офисы в Арклоу (Ирландия) и Роттердаме (Нидерланды) приняла решение оснастить суда для использования их в то числе для ловли крабов с движением бортом, а не носом.

  Таким образом, серия дедвейтом 8,5 тыс. тонн была оснащена рулями Van der Velden BARKE®, генерирующими высокую подъемную силу при больших углах руля и низкое лобовое сопротивление при малых углах руля. Это помогает в боковом смещении.

  В дополнение к рулям десять судов Arklow также оснащены системой поворотно-лопастного рулевого управления Van der Velden® COMMANDER™, включая гидравлическую силовую установку (HPU) и систему управления DAMEN Marine Components. Четыре судна в серии 16,5 тыс. тонн имеют длину 145,5 м и ширину 19,25 м. Шесть судов серии 8,5 тыс. имеют длину 116,89 м и ширину 14,99 м. Суда получили ледовый класс 1A от классификационного общества BV.

  Компания DAMEN Marine Components (DMC) разрабатывает и производит рулевые системы, направляющие насадки для подруливающих устройств и гребных винтов, лебедки и системы управления. В 2018 году DMC была объединена с компанией Damen Van der Velden, производителя рулевых устройств и механизмов. Имя Van der Velden стало официальным товарным знаком продукции DMC для судовых рулей и рулевого управления.
