  Корабли и суда ТОФ обеспечат работу экспедиции Русского географического общества

  Они доставят личный состав, имущество и технику из Петропавловска-Камчатского на острова Курильской гряды

  Корабли и суда Тихоокеанского флота (ТОФ) обеспечат доставку из Петропавловска-Камчатского на острова Курильской гряды членов экспедиции Русского географического общества (РГО) «Восточный бастион — Курильская гряда» и примут участие в ее работе. Об этом сообщает пресс-служба Восточного военного округа.

  Для доставки личного состава, имущества и техники выделены большой десантный корабль «Ослябя», гидрографические суда «ГС-199», «ГС-44», «Александр Рогоцкий» и специальное судно «КИЛ-168».

  Военнослужащие и служащие ТОФ совместно с сотрудниками РГО, учеными и волонтерами продолжат исследования, начатые во время проведения поисковых работ в предыдущие годы. Также будет выполнен ряд гидрографических исследований.

  Участники экспедиции РГО уже прибыли в Петропавловск-Камчатский и в ближайшие дни начнут погрузку имущества на суда, которые возьмут курс на острова Курильской гряды.

  По данным РГО, планы экспедиции на 2024 год включают, в частности, проведение комплексных исследований Большой курильской гряды от о. Итуруп до о. Матуа, оценку техногенного загрязнения, поиск объектов военно-технической истории.
