TransInvestServis to build a container terminal in Yuzhny port (Ukraine)
TransInvestServis specializing in transshipment of loose cargo via its own complex in Yuzhny port (Ukraine) plans to expand it business through container transshipment, RZD-Partner reports. The company intends to build a terminal capable of handling 1.3 million TEU per year. The terminal is to be the largest one among similar Ukraine’s terminals.
Besides, it would be a precedent of the first private container handling complex in Ukraine. Earlier such complexes handled mainly loose cargo (grain and fertilizers) and metal. Participate of private capital in marine transshipment of containers was limited to operation of state-owned facilities.
