Eurasia Logistics puts into operation first phase of Urals’ largest logistics park
The first phase of the Urals’ largest industrial complex has been put into operation by Eurasia Logistics, Interfax reports according to RZD-Partner. According to the source, investments into the Pyshma logistics park will total RUR 4 billion. The project’s payback period is 8 years.
Total area of the complex located close to the town of Verkhnyaya Pyshma will exceed 50 hectares including over 280,000 square meters occupied by storage facilities. The first phase covers an area of 85,000 square meters. The second phase is to be put into operation in December 2007. It area is some 110,000 square meters. Commissioning of the third phase is scheduled for the third quarter of 2008 (85,000 square meters). Launching of the complex is the first step in implementation of an international infrastructure program aimed at establishment of an international transport corridor South-East Asia – Kazakhstan – Russia – Europe. Besides, the complex is one of key facilities of the network developed by Eurasia Logistics in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
