Cargo turnover of Petersburg Oil Terminal CJSC (POT, port of Saint Petersburg) fell over January-August 2006 year-on-year by 2.5% amounting to 7.091 million tons of oil products. This information has been provided to PortNews IAA by the source from the Marine Administration of the port of Saint Petersburg. In August 2006 the terminal transshipped 1.034 million tons of oil products against 1.02 million tons in August 2005. In August of the current year POT handled 290 thou tons of light oil products (the rest are dark oil products) against 240 thou tons of light fuel year-on-year.
The forecast of POT for transshipment of oil products in September 2006 is 880 thou tons including 250 thou tons of light oil products. POT is the largest stevedoring company of Saint Petersburg. It specializes on export transshipment of oil products. In 2005 cargo turnover of the terminal amounted to 10.8 million tons.
