Cargo turnover of Taganrog Sea Trade Port OJSC in January-August 2006 decreased by 10.7% year-on-year amounting to 1 237.5 thou tons. This information has been provided to PortNews IAA by Dmitrij Lisin, deputy head of TSTP OJSC. Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo (oil and heavy fuel oil) over the reported period amounted to 242.6 thou tons (-2.9% year-on-year). Ore transshipment amounted to 89.8 thou tons (+18.8%), timber — 85.8 thou tons (-6.9%). Metals – 411.1 thou tons (-12.6%), coal and coke — 131.3 thou tons, that is 11.7 times as many as the result of January-August 2005. Container transshipment amounted to 6.7 thou tons, that is 1.9 times less than the result of the similar period year-on-year. Taganrog Sea Trade Port OJSC is a stevedoring company of the port of Taganrog. Authorized capital of Taganrog Sea Trade Port OJSC is 837 thou 709 rubles. It is divided into 628 thou 282 ordinary and 209 thou 427 preferred shares with a nominal value of 1 ruble each. The state owns 25.5% of the authorized capital of the company, Dizhen LLC – 39.83%, VMV Trade System LLC – 9.98%.
TSTP OJSC is specialized at transshipment of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, ore, coal, alumina, containers and equipment. The company consists of five cargo berths with a total length of 849 m and depth from 4.5 to 5.0 meters. Today the design capacity of the port’s transshipment complex is 1.5 – 2.0 million tons per year.
