Cargo turnover of Kandalaksha Sea Trade Port CJSC increased over January-July 2006 by 10.2% year-on-year amounting to 157.2 thou tons. Over the reported period export transshipment of coal amounted to 32.232 thou tons (-18.1% year-on-year), transshipment of anthracite increased by a factor of 3.9 amounting to 39,682 thou tons. The port transshipped 49.387 thou tons of coal breeze (+27.1%), metal scrap – 10.120 thou tons, that is 3.6 times more than in the previous year. Transshipment of local cargo amounted to 25.775 thou tons (-31.8%), including coal – 18.269 thou tons (-9.7%), crushed stone – 5.017 thou tons (in January-July transshipment of crushed stone was not carried out), general cargo –2.489 thou tons.
