Port Kolomna: hydraulic engineering structures, shipyard and fleet

On 2-4 June 2021, Russian Scientific and Technical Water Transport Society (RosNTO) and Federal Marine and River Transport Agency supported by FBI Moscow Canal held an annual all-Russia research to practice conference “Ensuring Safety and Reliability of Hydraulic Engineering Facilities” in Kolomna. The conference meeting was kicked off by Vladimir Alekseyev, General Director of Port Kolomna JSC.

Among the event participants were Konstantin Anisimov, Deputy Head of the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency; Oleg Shakhmardanov, RosNTO President and head of Moscow Canal; Aleksandr Zaitsev, President of the Association of  Ports and River Transport Owners; Vadim Sugak, Head of Programme and Investments Department at Volga-Don Basin Administration; Ruslan Rastegayev, Chief Engineer, Svir District Hydraulic Engineering and Shipping, Volga-Baltic Basin Administration: Vladimir Shcherbina, Chief Researcher,  branch of Institut Gidroproekt - NIIES JSC; Roman Kozlov, Engineering Director, NPP GEOS, LLC.

The delegates discussed the experience in reconstruction and capital repair of hydraulic engineering structures (HES), introduction of automated systems for condition monitoring of HES condition and other industry related issues.

Upon completion of the meeting, a visit was arranged to the production facilities of Port Kolomna JSC. The company offers cargo transportation by inland water transport. It is one of Russia’s ten largest shipping companies.
