5th International Congress Hydraulic Engineering Structures and Dredging

    Dates:   2022 February 16 - 2022 February 17

The Hydraulic Engineering Structures and Dredging Congress is a unique and highly acclaimed industry focused platform annually gathering stakeholders of hydraulic engineering and dredging works. It is a place for professionals to meet and to sign contracts.
In February 2022, the Congress will include the 9th International Dredging Forum and the 5th Technical Conference "Modern Solutions for Hydraulic Engineering".
Major customers of dredging works, FSUE Rosmorport and FSUE Hydrographic Company (a company of Rosatom), provide their traditional support the Congress and annually share their plans at the event.
In 2022, the bulk of dredging works ordered by Rosmorport will be conducted in the Bechevinskaya Bay under NOVATEK’s Arctic Transshipment project. Besides, the company will continue large-scale dredging works in the port of Ust-Luga for the terminal of Novotrans. Ambitious projects covering a period up to 2024 are planned in the ports of Novorossiysk (a facility of 12 million tonnes in capacity will be built at the premises of Novorossiysk Ship Repair Plant), Vysotsk (a grain terminal of 4 million tonnes in capacity is being built by railway operator Tehnotrans Group) and Murmansk (Tuloma terminal will have a capacity of 4 million tonnes with a possibility of expansion to 6 million tonnes per year).
Hydrographic Company will continue construction of new port facilities in the Gulf of Ob. From 2023,  maintenance dredging planned by the company is to account for a half of the total scope of repair dredging in all seaports of Russia, or 4 million tonnes per year.
With the support of Hydrographic Company, Rosatom is set to design an Arctic terminal for Baimsky Mining and Processing Plant and to ensure year round navigation there. There is a possibility to complete the project on construction of coal terminal “Chaika” on the Northern Sea Route by 2024-2025.
Besides, Hydrographic Company is looking into building of its own dredging fleet.
Construction of river class dredgers is under consideration at Rosmorrechflot which supports the Congress.
Global leaders of the shipbuilding industry will share their opinion on how the contemporary dredging fleet should look like and how to ensure high efficiency of dredgers’ operation while complying with the today’s environmental standards.
Hydraulic engineering will also be on the Congress agenda. In the segment of inland water ways, the highest interest is focused on the construction of the Bagayevsky and the Gorodesky systems. Natsrybresurs will present new port projects including the one on construction of a fish terminal in the port of Korsakov. Private investment projects in national seaports, from designing of hydraulic engineering facilities to selection of materials and contractors, will also be in the spotlight of the discussion.
Diving and environmental activities, supply of components and new materials for the industry will also be covered by the two-day long Congress “Hydraulic Engineering Structures and Dredging”.
