The Fourth International Forum of Dredging Companies will be held in Moscow on 15 February 2017 under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Transport and the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport of Russia (Rosmorrechflot). The Forum is organized by Media-Group PortNews in partnership with FSUE Rosmorport and International Association of Dredging Companies (IADC) with personal participation of IADS Secretary General René Kolman.

The Forum, which is held in Moscow every year is becoming a traditionally convenient platform for interaction of those who order and implement dredging operations.

Participation in the Fourth International Forum of Dredging Companies is planned by representatives of the industry-focused ministries, FSUE Rosmorport, international and Russian dredging companies, manufacturers of dredging equipment, customers of dredging operations, suppliers of equipment for dredging fleet and investors. Heads of maritime authorities at Caspian states, S. Korea, Turkey, Latvia, Lithuania and Denmark are invited to participate. The Forum is expected to gather over 200 delegates.

The International Forum of Dredging Companies is always held in February, before the season of dredging and marine engineering works starts at most Russian ports. It is the busiest period for industry related companies struggling for new orders which points up the discussions at the Forum.

The Forum Programme will be dedicated to the latest technologies applied in dredging and marine engineering. Through the examples of real project the speakers and delegates will discuss underwater operations, fleet and equipment involved.

The Forum participants will pay a traditional attention to the construction of the world’s northernmost port for shipments of LNG, seaport Sabetta. A photo exhibition dedicated to working in the Arctic is planned in the hall.The year of 2017 will see the launching of many ambitious infrastructure projects at inland water ways and seaports of Russia. Special discussions will cover the projects on construction of Gorodetsky and Bagayevsky hydraulic systems, new dry cargo area at port Taman, freight and passenger terminal at Pionersky settlement (Kaliningrad Region) etc.

New solutions of Russian companies for the projects on construction of dredging equipment will be presented at the Forum. Besides, the technologies for cost efficient dredging and marine engineering works will be considered during the event.

The largest foreign manufacturers of specialized equipment and fleet are going to share their plans on possible localization of production facilities in Russia. Foreign companies are getting on to the fact that Russian market of port construction is gradually retreating from foreign contractors. Therefore, the discussions at the Forum of Dredging Companies promise to be bright and functional. Russian participants will be able to get first hand information about the new dredging technologies in the world while foreign delegates will see their prospects and the conditions for retaining of their position in the dredging market of Russia. Infrastructure development is among the real growth drivers of Russian economy.
