Gas production edges up in Russia
Russia's natural gas production rose 1.3 percent to 56.9bn cubic meters in April 2008 compared to the same month a year earlier, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported today. Meanwhile, gas output fell 4.4 percent in April against the previous month.
As reported earlier, gas production went up 1.4 percent to 234bn cubic meters in January-April 2008 compared to the first four months of 2007.
