Krylov State Research Center to develop norms for designing of Arctic facilities in late 2014 - early 2015
Krylov State Research Center is going to develop the norms and regulations for designing of Arctic facilities in late 2014 - early 2015, IAA PortNews journalist cites Vladimir Dyukov, deputy Director General of Krylov Center, as saying at the International Specialized Offshore Exhibition and Conference (Offshore Marintec Russia) in Saint-Petersburg.
According to him, this work is being carried out in cooperation with the leading companies and organizations of the industry.
Vladimir Dyukov believes that Arctic facilities should comply with stricter requirements as compared with those applied to facilities located in milder climate.
None of the states has sufficient experience in operation under conditions like those of Russia’s Arctic shelf, he notes.
