A network of offshore transshipment terminals in Primorsky Territory will ensure loading of Free Port of Vladivostok, says Tranzit-DV Group.

Offshore terminals will allow for loading of cargo without docking of vessels at the berths.

The network of offshore transshipment terminals will let involve all major ports of the southern Primorje in handling of containers: special permits have been obtained for Vostochny, Slavyanka, Nakhodka and Zarubino ports. There are offshore transshipment terminals already available at Vostochny and Slavyanka.

According to Tranzit-DV, a number of international companies specializing in container shipping are interested in OTT. ZIM, one of the top ten container operators, took part in the development of a technological chain for cargo handling.

“This will attract global container operators to the ports of the Free Port of Vladivostok both with bunkering and cargo base expansion which will entail opening of large companies’ offices, construction of storage facilities, establishment of cargo processing facilities, “dry ports”, floating facilities and other elements of cargo storage and delivery infrastructure. This will, consequently, load international transport corridors Primorje-1 and Primorje-2”, the statement says.

Tranzit-DV, founded in 1995, is a holding company providing services in the markets of processing and delivery of energy resources (oil products, coal, natural gas), bunkering of vessels and shipping.
