    На южнокорейской верфи HMD спущены на воду два танкера второго поколения на метаноле

    Канадская судоходная компания Waterfront Shipping Company Ltd. (г. Ванкувер, дочерняя структура Methanex Corporation) и шведская Marinvest/Skagerack Invest (Marinvest) спустили на воду на южнокорейской верфи Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) два новых инновационных танкера - Mari Couva и Mari Kokako -, которые будут работать на метаноле, говорится в сообщении Methanex Corp.

    Оба судна дедвейтом по 49 тыс. тонн оборудованы двухтактным двухтопливными двигателями второго поколения MAN B & W ME-LGIM, которые могут работать как на метаноле, так и на обычном судовом топливе. Эти танкеры пополнят имеющийся флот из семи судов, работающих на метаноле и зафрахтованных Waterfront Shipping. На сегодняшний день суда проработали уже 50 тыс. часов на метаноле в соответствии с нормами выбросов IMO 2020.

    Два новых судна, вместе с еще двумя, которые будут переданы Waterfront Shipping к концу текущего года - также соответствуют стандартам выбросов IMO Tier-3 без необходимости использовать установки для очистки выхлопных газов.

    По словам президента Waterfront Shipping Ltd. Пола Хекстера, к концу 2019 года примерно 40% судов компании будут использовать в качестве топлива метанол.

    «Наши первые два судна, работающие на метаноле, были переданы в эксплуатацию в 2016 году, и теперь на каждого из них приходится более 10 тыс. часов работы на метаноле, при этом без проблем и простоев», - сообщил председатель правления Marinvest Патрик Моссберг.

    Два новых судна, совместный проект Waterfront Shipping и Marinvest, были построены в на верфи Hyundai Mipo. Waterfront Shipping зафрахтует два судна для замены устаревших судов. Дополнительно два таких же судна будут переданы в эксплуатацию до конца 2019 года.

    Waterfront Shipping, дочерняя компания Methanex Corporation, является международной судоходной компанией, специализирующейся на морской транспортировке химических веществ и чистых нефтепродуктов на основные международные рынки в Северной Америке, Азиатско-Тихоокеанском регионе, Европе и Латинской Америке. Waterfront Shipping управляет крупнейшим в мире флотом морских танкеров-метаноловозов, судов дедвейтом от 3 тыс. до 50 тыс. тонн. Флот из 28 современных океанских танкеров обеспечивает бесперебойную доставку метанола к терминалам хранения и на заводы клиентов по всему миру.
