  HMM получила первый контейнеровоз в серии из 12 судов вместимостью 13 тыс. TEU

  Hanwha Ocean и HD Hyundai Heavy Industries построят по шесть судов серии

  На южнокорейской верфи HD Hyundai Heavy Industries в Ульсане (входит в HD KSOE) состоялась церемония имянаречения судна HMM Garnet. Об этом сообщается на отраслевом сайте Offshore Energy.

  В июне 2021 года южнокорейский контейнерный перевозчик HMM разместил заказ на строительство двенадцати контейнеровозов вместимостью по 13 тыс. TEU. Контракты были распределены между двумя южнокорейскими верфями: Hanwha Ocean и HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, каждая из которых построит по шесть судов.

  По проекту, силовые установки всех судов будут подготовлены к работе на сжиженном природном газе и будут оснащены различными энергосберегающими технологиями.

  Контейнеровоз HMM Garnet («Гранат») имеет длину 335 метров, ширину 51 метр. С февраля этого года зарегистрированное под флагом Либерии судно будет обслуживать контейнерный сервис EC1 в рамках объединения перевозчиков THE Alliance. Ротация портов включает Гаосюн, Сямын, Яньтян, Шанхай, Нинбо, Пусан, Яньтян, Нью-Йорк, Норфолк, Чарльстон, Саванна и Сингапур.

  После передачи в эксплуатацию всех 12 судов общая вместимость всех контейнеровозов HMM составит 1 млн TEU и большие контейнеровозы вместимостью более 10 тыс. TEU будут составлять 80% всего флота HMM.

По вместимости флота HMM является десятой крупнейшей контейнерной линией‎. Вместе с Hanjin Shipping (до банкротства) операторы перевозили почти все экспортные грузы в Южной Корее.‎ В 2022 году консолидированная чистая прибыль HMM возросла на 88,6% — до $7,9 млрд.

  HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE) объединяет три судостроительных подразделения: Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. и Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries. Холдинг входит в группу компаний HD Hyundai Group, специализирующуюся в судостроении, нефтепереработке и машиностроении.
