Reorganization of Russian Railways complicates operation – Murmansk port
Reorganization of the OJSC Russian Railways carried out within company reforming has considerably complicated the process of operational questions decision, the analytical department of Murmansk Commercial Seaport announces.
Creation of new structural divisions (each having its own interests) has led to additional coordination of contracts, conditions of transportation, supplying/cleaning wagons, finalizing documents, giving in applications, rendering services not envisaged by tariffs etc.
The port of Murmansk considers a user of railway transportation services should interact with a sole united body, which is authorized to co-ordinate questions connected with transportation, structural divisions and to make corresponding decisions. Thus the mutual relations with a client should be built according to the scheme "transport for client", on a partnership basis.
The program of OJSC "Russian Railways" reforming was approved in 2001 and envisaged till 2010.
OJSC Murmansk Commercial Seaport is the largest stevedoring company in the territory of the port of Murmansk. The company specializes in transfer of coal, apatite, and also general cargoes, including containers.
