In September a double ship christening took place in harlingen of the ms ABIS Bremen and the ABIS Bordeaux of shipping company Abis Shipping, Eekels reports. The “heavy cargo multi purpose vessel open top” is suitable for transport of heavy cargo and project cargo.
The electrical installation of the ms ABIS Bremen and 3 other vessels from the “B-serie” was totally provided by Eekels Elektrotechniek. The hull of these 3 vessels were built in Poland an were completed in Harlingen.
For the ms ABIS Bordeaux”, one of the 2 vessels from the “B-serie” which was completely built in China, Eekels provided the electrical drawings and the outfitting was executed by the local shipping company.
The vessel was chozen as the winner in October 2010 of the prestigious KNVR (Koninklijke Vereniging van Nederlandse Reders) award.
