In January-September 2018, Yug-2 terminal (port Ust-Luga) handled 3.22 million tonnes of cargo, up 85.8%, year-on-year, says press center of AO Commercial Sea Port of Ust-Luga.
In the reporting period, the company unloaded 31,300 railcars and handled 204 vessels including 18 Panamax ships.
In September, throughput totaled 450,000 tonnes, up 147% vs September 2017. During the month the company handled 28 vessels and unloaded 6,655 railcars.
In August, transshipment of export coal totaled 362,000 tonnes, mineral fertilizers – 95,000 tonnes, general cargo – 2,500 tonnes.
In 2018, Yug-2 is going to handle about 5 million tonnes of cargo, twice as much as in 2017.
AO Commercial Sea Port of Ust-Luga is a stevedoring company operating multipurpose terminal YUG-2 and Auto-Railway Ferry Terminal. In 2017, the company handled 3.8 million tonnes of cargo.
