Freight turnover of Nahodkinski sea trade port fell by 3 % to 1995.7 thousand tons in the first quarter 2006. This was reported to the PortNews IAA in the Eastern branch of Rosmorport FSUE. The company processed 1619.0 thousand tons of cargoes for the accounting period (+5.3 % in comparison with the similar period of the last year). Including container turnover, which made 44.8 thousand tons (+46.4 %), transhipment of metals made 1544.7 thousand tons (+4.3 %). 312.5 thousand tons of timber cargoes were processed in the port (-36.9 %). Including transhipment of round log, which has made 251.1 thousand tons (-0.3 %), transhipment of saw-timbers – 62.9 thousand tons (+3,7 %). 62.7 thousand tons of bulk cargoes were processed (-70 %). Including transhipment of coal and coke- 1.4 thousand tons, thats almost 149 times as much as in 2005. Transhipment of ore made 61.3 thousand tons (transhipment of ore was not carried out in the first quarter of 2005).
