Bergen Group wins contracts for 3 vessels from Sartor Offshore AS
Norway's Bergen Group BMV secured contracts worth $168.5m for the construction of three multi-purpose rescue and response vessels for Sartor Offshore AS.
The first vessel is scheduled for delivery in Q3, 2012. The ship will then go into a 10-year lease agreement with Statoil for operations in the North Sea. The two other ships are to be delivered by the end of 2012.
All three vessels feature a very low fuel consumption compared to existing tonnage. The ships are equipped with fuel catalyzers that reduce the NOx emissions by 90%.
Bergen Group BMV is one of two shipyards owned by Bergen Group ASA.
