Reorganization of Moscow Canal into federal state-funded institution

RF Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a Decree on reorganization of the federal state unitary enterprise Moscow Canal into a federal state-funded institution. The Decree dated May 19, 2014 is available at the website of RF Government.

The reorganization is aimed at the unification of state control of inland water transport, creation of organizational and legal environment for state control within the territorial boundaries of the institution activities. It will contribute to the safety of navigation, passenger and cargo transportation along the inland water ways.
