FESCO vessel the Vasily Golovnin completed the voyage to the Arctic region, in the frame of which delivered 2,500 tonnes of construction materials and equipment to the construction sites of the Russian Ministry of Defence. The project is the part of the State Defense Procurement, the company said in its press release.
FESCO provided complex freight-forwarding service for the delivery from Arkhangelsk to the Wrangel Island and Schmidt Cape in the Chukchi sea. The service included the marine transportation, cargo handling in Arkhangelsk, as well as rehandling from the vessel to special small boats.
The voyage time was 45 days, during which the vessel ran six thousand miles across the Northern Sea Route without icebreaker’s assistance even in the difficult conditions of the Laptev and East Siberian Seas.
