Freight traffic at the Port of Singapore in January-September 2018, edged up 0.9% on the same period a year before to 470.49 million tonnes, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore provisional figures show.
Nine-month volume of oil cargo and non-oil bulk cargo fell by 5% and 6.2%, accordingly, to 163.51 million and 12.87 million tonnes million tonnes.
Container traffic grew by 10.2% to 27.3 million TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in Southeast Asia. In 2017, the port handled 626.17 million tonnes of cargo.
